Abstract

We evaluated a state-aware, verifiable RAG tutor on 72 English-language tasks across three conditions and two runs. Linguistic accuracy showed no condition effect, while retrieval faithfulness tracked evidence access, especially under weak T3 retrieval. Added learner-state and verification controls did not yield reproducible gains; human validation supported separate evaluation.
